Stay Plugged into the Source

So, I waited and waited. "What in the world is taking so long for the coffee to finish brewing?", I kept thinking to myself. If you don't know by now, I get excited about caWfee ☕️. LOL 😆

This morning, I couldn't smell the familiar scrumptious aroma that fills the kitchen air fast enough.Still, I waited. And waited. And waited. And then I waited some more. 

I continued my morning routine as usual until, "Egad 😱!", I realized that the thrilling dripping could not be heard 👂and neither was that little last sizzling sound and pops it makes at the end to let you know, that yeah, it's ready! OMGosh! Was the coffee maker broken?

I went to investigate 🔍.  Whatta-ya-know!  Sure enough, after all the preparation of setting the filter in its place (like that's a lot of work 🙄), and putting in the cAWfee, and pouring in the water that - IT WASN'T PLUGGED IN 🤦🏻‍♀️! Grrr . . .

How many times have we gone through life not being plugged in 🤷🏻‍♀️? Plugged into His Word, I mean. A day not plugged into His Presence can begin like buttoning a blouse only to realize when you've gotten to the top that you have aligned all the buttons incorrectly and have to start over.

Give GOD His rightful place in your life. Make sure each day begins and ends with His Presence being an essential part of everything you do. Because when you stay plugged into Christ and His Word, you are plugged into POWER, POSITION, and PURPOSE. Are you plugged in? ~2014 Narda Goodson

Daniel and The Den of Lions

I love the story of Daniel. Yes, Daniel in the den of lions. Notice that the text reads "the den of lions" in Daniel 6:16 - "Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions". If it had read "the lion's den", it would have taken on an important meaning - that the den belonged to the lions.

But here is an important truth in this small group of words that have given the enemy so much power. GOD owns everything and nothing belongs to any of us unless given to us by the LORD Himself.

Whatever den your enemies have prepared for you or cast you in, remember, GOD is the owner of the den and He has the final say on what takes place in it. ~2019 Narda Goodson

Killing the Enemy IN-AH-ME

We need to kill the enemy within. Mute those #deathly, #discouraging, #doubting, #despairing sounds. #Discouragement and #depression cannot #dwell, abide, and live in where there is an active atmosphere of the Holy Spirit. With the Presence of the Word of GOD inundating the air, it is impossible!

It's Time to Stop Your Bleeding: (He that has an ear, let him hear!)

The quickest way to getting over people and to be healed, released, delivered, and set free from their hurtful influence over your life and heart is to forgive them and let them go.

Forgiveness doesn't excuse a person's behavior or what they did to you. In essence, forgiveness is for you. Forgiveness keeps you from becoming a prisoner in your own mind and frees you from the bondage of hate and bitterness that wants to take root and live in your heart, that is, if it hasn't already made a nest in your home.. Hurting people is to hateful people as hurting people hurt people.

Although, you are called to greatness and have much to do, and though you have ministry assignments to accomplish and a divine task to fulfill, you will not go where the LORD desires to take you carrying burdens and weights brought about through the foreboding spirit of unforgiveness.

How long will you carry your offense? Your pain is now 10, 20, 30 years old and still continues to grow. How long will you allow unforgiveness to serenade your hurt, your pain, your memories, your anger, your nightmares, what they did to you, what they said about you, what they they stole from you, what they failed to do, your right to be right, and rehearse your excuses as to why you are the way you are - broken, crippled, mad, insecure, jealous, mean, hateful, and a hot mess?

You can choose to be a victim all of your life or you can allow Jesus to heal you, restore you, and transform you according to His Word so that you can be a true and living witness, not only to a world that does not know or understand what real love is and what it looks like, but to your own self be true to mirror the power of GOD's love, forgiveness, and divine change.

Yes, the victory through Christ Jesus is already yours for the taking, but in order to progress and truthfully walk in it like a real champion, a victor, and bona fide overcomer, without taking the "faking it till you make it" pill, you must forgive even as you have been forgiven.

Plainly put friends, there is no other way, no skirting around the topic, and no other remedy. To be like Jesus, you must be the first partaker of what you preach and teach others. You decide.

Dealing With Difficult Family, Friend, or Foe?

Never feel guilty for detaching yourself from toxic people be it family, friend, or foe. The Bible declares that as far as it depends on you to live in peace with others. Realistically, we know that peace is not always reciprocated as there are many who love strife and division.

So, how do we as Christians deal with difficult family members, friends, or foes? I'm about to help free some of you who have been struggling with a guilt trip for a long time. Humility is not stupidity. Matthew 10:13-14 says, "If the house is worthy, give it your blessing of peace. But if it is not worthy, take back your blessing of peace. Whoever does not receive you, nor heed your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake the dust off your feet."

Even as a Christian, you cannot help everybody. Not everybody wants to be helped. Not everyone desires peace even if you do. Some people are comfortable right where they are. Some people are dysfunctional because they choose to be. Even when you offer truth and the tools, the peace, the love, and forgiveness, they will still somehow blame you for their mishaps.

Hurting people hurt people and such would rather hold to their dirty smelly security blanket like Linus who always fell apart every time it was taken from him. Unfortunately, some people will die with their emotional disabilities, their dysfunction, and their disorders, and not because they are helpless, but because they (((refuse))) the help offered.

Learn to let people go. Remember, letting does not mean giving up (I cannot stress this enough). It simply means you have chosen to move on with your life and close the door to the drama and distress they steadily bring into your life. Some people are addicted to their past, their pain, and their problem like a drug addict. If you really love people, you will sincerely pray for them with hopes that one day they will open their hearts to Jesus and receive the healing and deliverance they so desperately need. You cannot change people; only GOD can.

Until then, it is okay to continue to love the unlovable, mean, and miserable people from a distance. You can pray for them as the Holy Spirit leads but you cannot allow yourself to be swept under the currents of their emotional hullabaloo. It is dangerous and even professional lifeguards can drown too.

You've got to keep it moving. This may be a hard pill to swallow, but swallow it anyways because it is the truth. Please remember that the same Sword of the Spirit that heals on one side will cut on the other.

Your Hang Ups Can Hang You If You Don't Let Go

I wouldn't remove or exchange any character in my life's story past or present. GOD used them to teach me. Some for bonding, some for wisdom, some for insight, but all for growth and learning life's lessons in what drives and motivates men's heart.

However, the LORD does not want us ignorant of the devil's schemes and devises in how he strategically uses people to get you off your Kingdom assignment. Learning to see beyond the pretentious smiles and flattery while maintaining a godly disposition hasn't always been easy. If one is not careful enough, it is easy to slip back into old habits, and like the Incredible Hulk, "you wouldn't like me when I'm angry" is a golden truth. Being angry and then acting on it, which is when sin is actually birthed, is way too easy. It takes more effort to discipline one's self in the Word and to purposely walk in Jesus' love. You should see what I really look like after I've had a fight with my SELF. After all, what flesh wants to be kept hostage and locked up, not seen, and never heard, right? Hah! She can put up a nasty, bloody, and brutal fight but I've had to learn to strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize (1 Corinthians 9:27).

But being wise as serpents and harmless as doves is what Jesus said we must be. That right there kills any ideas that may burn through the heart and mind for any type of revenge or paybacks. It is a balance the true believer must keep in order to maintain right standing with GOD. He didn't promise it would be easy, only that it is not impossible. Turn over to GOD all those difficult people in your life. They are too heavy for your heart, too ugly for the mind, and way too dangerous your hands. For the LORD has already promised in Isaiah 49:25 that He will contend with those that contend with you. The Changing of the Guards

Here is a "Bibliopolical" answer for America!

Proverbs 29:2 says when the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. Why is it important for the righteous to reign on the earth? Because it keeps the godless from ruling and laying snares before the people. 

A deserted position of influence by the believers is a vacant opportunity for the devil to have his own way.  If the LORD GOD didn't want us to be concerned about the affairs of our government and if He didn't want us to infiltrate the political arena, He would not have given us Proverbs 29:2. What we need are men and women of GOD with an excellent spirit like Daniel to make the shift. These are the ones we need in the courtrooms, in congress, in parliament as presidents, senators, congressmen, mayors, and chiefs. These are the people we need to man the walls of our cities once again. For that is how you take a city and that is how you keep it. For it is by the blessing of the upright that our cities is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked (Proverbs 11:11).

I do not blame the unbeliever for the condition of our failing country and cities as much as I blame us, GOD's people, the true Christians. For 2 Chronicles 7:14 declares 'If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land'.  Suffice to say, a nation, that honors GOD is exalted (Proverbs 14:34).

Flesh Must Die!

I'm not dead if I can still see me, hear me, and feel me. In order for the risen Christ to be seen, FLESH MUST DIE! When something is dead, it's dead! It has no life, no power, no voice. It cannot talk, it cannot breathe, it cannot see, feel, touch, or taste. It is dead!

My alabaster box contains a perfumed ointment so beautiful and so potent that it drowns out the smell of my pain and my disappointment and releases healing to my soul. Because when I pour it out on Jesus, He pours it back down on me. If I can still smell the stench of my anger, my hate, my past-hurts, my bitterness, my unforgiveness, and my resentfulness, it means my issue "ain't" dead.

There is a true healing that Christ gives where nothing is missing and nothing is broken anymore. You are free when it no longer affects you, infects you, and wrecks you to behave outside of the character of Christ. If I am to be crucified with Christ, there must be nothing left but a total surrendered life with a constant flowing release of the glorious fragrance of His glory. ~2015 Narda Goodson

Prophetic Prayer

Father, I thank you that you have been raising a generation of sons and daughters that have been tried by your Refiner's Fire. Sons and daughters who are seeking your Presence and not power, position, or prestige. Sons and daughters whose only interest is to build your Kingdom and reaching the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

You have had these sons and daughters hidden for a season, and now, my GOD, you are bringing them out to the forefront. I thank you for each life that has survived the snakes in the rivers, the serpents in the wilderness, the pits, and the lions and the bears. I pray that these "backyard' experiences, like David, is where they have learned who they are in you, but more importantly, who you are in them.

Forever you are GOD. You are Faithful and True. You are Eternal and your Kingdom has no end. Thank you for sending your Son Jesus, because apart from Him, we can do absolutely nothing.

Pharaoh Wants His Treasures Back!

GOD will allow Pharaoh and his imps to chase you for a while. But unlike the movies, where the predators corners its prey, licks his lips, and says, "Aha!", he is blind and cannot discern that the corner has actually been designed as GOD's platform to show Pharaoh just who He is.

Don't you dare be afraid of the sound of the chariots and the sound of the horses hoofs. For they shall soon be swallowed up by the wave of GOD's hand if they continue their pursuit and refuse to repent and cease from their evil doings. Those who lift up their hands against GOD's appointed and anointed will suffer His judgement. Miriam was Moses' own sister, and when she spoke against the man of GOD, she became leprous. And it was this same Moses that she had railed against that had to be the same one to come pray for her.

If the enemies of the Cross have come against you, it is because of the treasures in you. If Pharaoh is after you, it is because he is after your purpose in Christ Jesus. And as Moses said to the people, so say I to you today. Do not be afraid. Only stand still and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will show you today. For the Egyptians you see today, you will see them again no more. In Jesus' Name. He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to His people.

The Disrobing

Let the Healing of GOD Begin - The Disrobing:
Strip away the layers of pretense I have allowed to enveloped me. For they have now become as a heavy garment intertwined with my soul.

Tare away every line bejeweled mask I wear that are designed to really keep others from seeing the real me. When I first put them on, it was fun. For their opulent and radiant beauty drew attention. It allowed me into circles of acceptance and validation and took away the sting of my rejection.

But now, I am so buried beneath this mask I wear, I can hardly breathe. I do not even know who I really am anymore. For she has deceived me into thinking that "dress up" was for "a little while". And now, I am suffocating, subdued, and submerged beneath the cloth of Self. She has buried her treasures within the deepest parts of my soul, I cannot hear my own voice anymore.

Her colossal strongholds inveigle my mind, imbed my thoughts, and influence my behavior. My screams are silent. No one hears me.

Strip me of every fabric of this "Self" that consumes me, that keeps me from beholding the beauty of the real me You have created me to be. Release me from the clutches of her evil grip that keeps me wading in false humility, pretense, and pride.

It's Your Season When . . .

But when the blade was sprung up and brought forth good fruit, then appeared the tares also. Just when you are about to step out to be used by GOD, and just when that good seed which you have sown has sprung, and just when you are about to reap your harvest, NOTICE the Scripture reads that the tares also SHOWED UP.

You will know when it's YOUR SEASON when your life is under attack from those unexpected, unabashed, uninvited, unimaginable, untrimmed, untrained, uncouth, and uncanny tares whose bad seeds were sown into your field while you slept.

Despite it all, you must learn to leave the wheat and the tares alone until the day of harvest, in the which, GOD will gather the tares FIRST. When you see the desolation of your enemies and the gathering of bundles, you will know it's HARVEST TIME. Be still and know that He is GOD. He that has an ear, let him hear. ~2015 Narda Goodson

Who's Living In Your House?

Who's Living In Your House? (He that has an ear, let him hear):
Sarah laughed. Joseph's brothers mocked and hated. People will laugh, mock, and scorn you because of THE PURPOSE that lies within you. Can I talk to some real people with some real issues? People who know what it is to stare at contemptuous religious folks? People who live with Critic and Opposition?

The religious mindset will keep you bound in the circles of Pharaoh, the Pharisees, the PhotoShops, and the Phoney's? It will tie you to the bed of Phobias that will leave you cripple all your life wondering like the paralytic, "Can I do this?" and "Can God really use me?". We need to let the Holy Ghost teach us who we are in Christ!

Life isn't always about "patty-caking" and "sugar-coating" around topics and discussions like we are afraid. We are sons and daughters of the Most High. Stop living in denial as if life were a piece of cake because it isn't.

Jesus dealt with folk in the OPEN courts of His day. He did not talk behind their backs but neither did He shy away in fear. His messages were clear, precise, and direct. In fact, the Bible records that when He confronted and rebuked people for their hypocrisies, His words cut straight to their hearts that they became offended and wanted to kill him. Jesus was despised and rejected. Don't be surprise when people desire to kill you from their groups, churches, and friendship circles. You're not always going to be celebrated.

The Word of GOD will cut you before it cures you. GOD's Word will either free you or convict you. And as mature sons and daughters, we've got to teach it and preach it because we are living it. Now, if the Sword cuts you along the way, know that the same Sword has the power to heal you if you take GOD's correction and rebuke. The Father uses whom He chooses and wills, and if He can make an donkey talk, then He can surely use you and me today.

The spirit of the Pharisee kills. It wants to kill so badly that it would have stoned the woman caught in adultery (no mercy). It would have kept the lame man sick (traditions). It would not have spoken with the woman at the well (racial arrogance and divisions). There is a Phariseutical (Narda's dictionary) religious spirit that has gripped the church today and it is a spiritual movement whose agenda is to keep the believer silent and passive in fear.

Because the spirit of the Pharisee is strategic and critically cynical, it attacks and holds its captives in prison in all types of ways. It lives, breeds, and camps in doctrinal teachings and denominations passed through cultural differences and is designed to keep you from ever embracing all GOD has for you.

It will keep you complacent in your pew with never doing anything greater. It will keep you in the "dreaming" phase of your life. And because you're too scared (((because))) "they said" that "GOD said" that you were nothing more than to be confined to the limitations of being you, you don't even have sense enough to find out who GOD is for yourself.

You see, the enemy understands that when the Holy Ghost reveals to you who Christ is in you, you'll become like the Samaritan woman whose one encounter with Jesus at the well left her evangelizing her entire city by talking about "Come see a man!" who told me who I AM. And if that doesn't work, the Pharisee movement has Saul on standby, ready to dress you to look like him, talk like him, walk like him, and war like him. It understands the power of image. But the "image" is not powerful enough to contend and slay yourGoliath.

Stop letting people dress you. Let the Word of GOD dress and make you over again. We've been Photo-cropped far too long that we have no idea who we have become. And it is going to take the Fire of GOD, consecration, setting ourselves apart through fasting and praying so that the transformation of the Refiner's Fire can take place within us.

Listen! Opposition from the outside is one thing but to face opposition from the inside is another. You've got to be willing to address the enemy on the outside but also be willing to handle him on the inside. Don't be scared. Folks will either love you or hate you. But it is the people that know their GOD that shall do exploits.

People will shout "Hosanna" today and then scream "Crucify him!" tomorrow. You've got to be able to take it. You cannot afford to allow relationships, friendships, camaraderie, and any kind of connection with folks to water down the message GOD gives you. If they've got to go, then go!

Purposeful people aren't tied down by mediocrity and confined to the shackles of Egypt. You are not bound to the religious mindset of the Pharisee. You owe them nothing but love and truth. So, it's time to tell the Far-To-See to go. It's time to tell the Sad-To-See, I can't stay. It's time to tell those Pharaoh's in your life that you are doing an exodus. You are exiting the circles of "I care what you think".

The enemy on the outside is not nearly as dangerous as the enemy on the inside because he's got to break through in order to steal what is on the inside. If the enemy has come against you from the inside, it is because of the TREASURE GOD placed within you. GOD has placed inside of you a treasure box called PURPOSE. It is valuable. It is powerful. It is anointed. That is why he is trying to steal it, stop it, and stomp on it. Don't you dare allow the opinions of others stop the move of GOD in you. Now, who's living in your house? It's time to put some things out and close some doors. He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the church. In Jesus' name! Amen!

Let Your Faith Write an Indelible Mark. One That Cannot Be Erased:

The Five Daughters of Zelophehad:
Their father was dead. They had no brothers and were about to lose their only inheritance that was to be taken from them and divided among the men. The five daughters of Zelophehad are facing a crisis. They are about to lose their future!

Despite the present condition of their situation, these women made a decision to take their lives into their own hands. The text reads, “They came forward”. These five women dared to come out of their imposed “assigned” place in society. You see, in those days, women had no authority and remained often close to their own tents and family. They were not heard and often out of sight. But oh, not these five lives. These five knew Who to go to, and they allowed their crisis to lead them to the place of supreme Authority. The place where the Ark of the Covenant rested.

These women knew their GOD, and yet, without being summoned, they made haste to where the Ark of the Tabernacle of the LORD rested as the whole tribe of Israel encamped around it. With boldness and courage, they stepped into the place where the authority figures, which were all men, sat. Here, the priest, the high-ranking officials, its leaders and Moses all congregated. Imagine how intimidating this move must have been for them. Imagine greater how the men must have reacted as they saw them coming. Yet purpose drew them to this place. The Scriptures tells us this is the place the sisters came to claim their rights.

With evidence to support their claim for their land, these women, not only know GOD, but they are very astute in history and in law. They came fully loaded. They understood that in order for the progression of their family to continue, it was going to depend on the inheritance of the land. And so, in their compelling argument, they use the fact that their father Zelophehad was not involved in Korah’s rebellion.

Their insight and discernment also points out that the unfair present law was not taking into consideration the unusual circumstance of a man without sons. Though the LORD Himself had personally given Moses the instructions to call the census and divide the inheritance amongst the men, these sisters possessed great wisdom of this omission. Can you imagine that? Here were five women coming to plead to Moses about the unfairness of the law that GOD Himself had enacted.

Moses in turn does not turn them away. Knowing that GOD is just, he turns to Him for direction and brings their case before GOD. I love this part! The LORD responds by lovingly and justly enacting a permanent law that secures, not only their claim, but the rights of any future daughter in such a case. The courageous move of these sisters to refuse to place the right of their destiny in the hand of others is a compelling story that should encourage us today.

Whose hands are you placing your destiny in? Is it the hands of religion, tradition, culture, man? We had better recognize like the five daughters of Zelophehad and refuse to give others the right to impose on our destinies, our future, our purpose, our calling.

Refuse to let people tell you that GOD cannot use you, for the Book of Acts 2:17 says that in the last days GOD will pour out of His Spirit upon all flesh; upon men and women and they SHALL PROPHESY.

The five daughters of Zelophehad did not cower away in the shadows of fear, and because they knew their GOD, their act of boldness left a legacy that moved the hand and heart of GOD to permanently covenant a law that stands today. Daniel 11:32 reads “but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.”

Charming Babylon

I Could Not Get Past Verse One (Daniel 1:1):
Be careful that you do not fall for Babylon's charm. She will seduce you straight into folly. Don't be mesmerized by her beauty either because though she is beautiful and popular, she has no solid foundation. 

To serve her means to serve her king. One of the reasons Daniel held his place in the Scriptures is because he had a firm grip on the reality of who His GOD was. Daniel, amongst the very few, could not be swayed nor bewitched by the tune of the Pied Piper. As he held onto the righteousness of GOD without fear, so we, today, must anchor our souls in Christ and His Word. He that has an ear let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the Church.

Move Without Delay

Why are you waiting to see if everyone else is going to "jump" on the bandwagon before you "make a move"? Learn to discern when the Spirit of the LORD is speaking and MOVE. 

Move without delay! Move without hesitations! Move without fear and trepidations! Move without reservations! Move with conviction! Move like you know how to hear GOD for yourself! Move like you know who He is in your life! Move without worrying about what others think! Saying you want GOD to use you will require you to learn to move alone, without fear of men, and without their permission!

If a man cannot stand ALONE where he is, he cannot stand with others. Why? Because he will only be moved by the majority as opposed to moving by the Spirit of GOD. The LORD is looking for leaders who will leave a trail of His glory on the earth not those who will only beat around the bush in a spirit of timidity and cowardice!
