You are Blessed Even When Hated for Your Coat of Many Colors

Go ahead!  Put me in the corner so as not to be seen or heard. I will GROW and while I'm there, I will make it the most beautiful, flourishing, amazing corner in the place. Why? Because the LORD is with me!

People really believe they can stop you. THEY CAN'T!
Remember Joseph? He was imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit , yet, he stayed true to his integrity in the LORD. Even while in prison, his leadership qualities surfaced and eventually, he was promoted to head jailer. Why? Because GOD was with him.

When people throw you under the bus while other watch as others maliciously devise evil against you, don't lose your cool. Proverbs 25:28 says, He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.

So restrain and discipline yourself. Stay noble and hold to your integrity in Christ because the LORD is fixing to set a table before you IN THE PRESENCE of all your enemies. You see, there was a famine that was about to hit the land of Egypt and Joseph held the keys and the answer.

Satan is a thief who comes to steal, kill, and destroy.  But Proverbs 6:21 and Matthew 12:29 talks about what must be done when the thief is caught.  When he is found, he is to be bound and summoned to appear for a non-negotiable deal. He must then SURRENDER EVERYTHING he has stolen, and in addition, he must pay restitution.

Prayer:  Satan, COME OUT with your hands up because the Blood of Jesus is against you, and I declare every single thing stolen from me and mine to be RESTORED SEVEN TIMES in Jesus' name.  It shall be so! Amen!

Scriptures to Meditate on:
Genesis 39:21-23
21But the LORD was with Joseph and extended kindness to him, and gave him favor in the sight of the chief jailer. 22The chief jailer committed to Joseph's charge all the prisoners who were in the jail; so that whatever was done there, he was responsible for it. 23The chief jailer did not supervise anything under Joseph's charge because the LORD was with him; and whatever he did, the LORD made to prosper.

Proverbs 6:31
31But when he is found, he must repay sevenfold; He must give all the substance of his house.

Matthew 12:29
Or how can anyone enter the strong man's house and carry off his property, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house.

Isaiah 45:3
I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden wealth of secret places, So that you may know that it is I, The LORD, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name.

John 10:10
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.

To Be Like or Not Be Liked

Don't spend your life wondering who will like or dislike you. The enemy uses this old tool as a deterrent to keep you from accepting all that you are and all that you are becoming while confidently utilizing what the LORD has placed in your hands. Many people shy back because of fear that they won't be "liked", not accepted, or enough.

The possibility and reality of it all is this: You won't always be LIKED. A lot of times, it has NOTHING to do with who you are more than it is something deeper rooted that lies within the person that doesn't "like" you. Love them but learn to leave them alone. Keep it moving because you have a purpose and destiny to fulfill and do not have time to be sidetracked by the "disliking committee".

When they reject you, they are rejecting the sweetest thing since Domino Sugar. They are the ones missing out on the sweet blessing of godly, Spirit-filled friendships and camaraderie. So turn your prayers in hopes that the person(s) will allow the Holy Spirit to release them from the root of hate, jealousies, and fleshy competitions. Because at the end of the day, it is ALL ABOUT JESUS and building His Kingdom.

When the Scratch is Bigger than the Itch

The glow and sparkle of your life in Christ can feel like an irritant to those walking in darkness. It will cut to the heart of man and can feel like burning chigger bites on the skin. When the consciousness of man burns, it is a good sign because it means it's working. Leave them alone because either they will recognize and respond to the call of GOD's light appropriately or they will deliberately shun you.

Jesus' ministry was oftentimes filled with confronting and addressing a "stiffneck" people. It was these who were unwilling to bow to authority and because they were uncircumcised in heart, they were spiritually deaf.

Even on the day of his stoning, Stephen spoke a truth that cut straight to the heart of his persecutors. The Bible says in Acts 7:54 that "now when they had heard this, they were cut to the heart and they gnashed on him with their teeth".

Discernment by the Holy Spirit will allow you to see the "gnashing of teeth" even when it is glimpse through the simplicity of a pretentious smile. But when you do see it, remember, do not overcome evil with evil but overcome evil with good. Still, LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE!

Shun - verb
To avoid deliberately; keep away from.

Scriptures to Meditate on:
John 3:20-21 - For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.

John 1:5 - The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

Matthew 5:15
Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.

Luke 10:16 - He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.

John 5:18 - If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you.

Forget ME NOT! The Butler, Joseph, & GOD

When people forget you, don't worry, GOD NEVER does.  In fact, He has reserved a special place in time of remembrance just for you.  The story of Joseph in Genesis 40-41 brings to mind that when people use you to benefit their mission, GOD has other plans.  (That was your moment TO SHOUT!)

Joseph’s life of integrity proves that despite the pits people throw you into the integrity of the LORD’s hand will always raise you out.  You see, the butler and the baker had found themselves in trouble with the king and as a result had landed in the same jail as Joseph.

While in jail, the butler and the baker have dreams that cause their countenance to fall.  In spite of his present conditions, Joseph finds a way to minister to each and the LORD gives him the interpretation.  When the butler discerned that the interpretation of his dream was authentic and that he was going to be restored to his place back in the palace, he was delighted and hopeful.  Joseph knowing that his interpretation came from the LORD asked one thing of the butler - to remember him by making mention of him and his plight when he went before the king.

Three days later as predicted, the butler is restored to his place and the baker is hanged.  But it doesn’t come as a surprise that after the butler gets what he needs and things are going well with him that he forgets all about Joseph and his request.

In your journey with Christ, you will encounter (if you haven’t already) those who will use your gift and power of influence only for their own benefit.  But what is so beautiful about this story is that Joseph’s life emanates such patience, grace, meekness, temperance, and kindness throughout the entire process.

Being envied and hated most of his life by his own brothers, being thrown into a pit and left to die, sold into slavery, to then being wrongfully convicted of attempted rape by his former employer’s wife, he does time for a crime he did not commit.  I don’t know about you, but I cannot in all honesty confess that I would have behaved as selfless and virtuous as Joseph.  I probably would have been planning my revenge for when I got out.

Two years roll by, and when you think the butler couldn’t behave any worse, the butler finds himself in a grave position because the king dreamed again.  With his position possibly threatened, to save himself, he NOW remembers Joseph.  Isn’t that like people today?  They only remember you when they need you for what you can do for them.

GOD’s plan is always bigger, deeper, and wider than we can ever begin to imagine.  When He allows us to unjustly suffer, we have the Promise of His Word that all things are working out for our benefit and in our favor.  Trust is vital during such a process.

Joseph had NO IDEA that GOD was orchestrating the details of his life and that his appearance before the king would be his miracle of redemption on another level – Prime Minister of Egypt.  The platform was staged and the curtain was about to draw back.  His SETBACK was GOD’s SETUP for his COMBACK.  Redemption was fixing to manifest itself in the presence of all his accusers, thieves, and schemers.

Maintain your integrity and GROW THROUGH your process because when men misuse, abuse, and mistreat you and then benefit from doing so, there is a righteous reward waiting for the heirs of GOD’s Kingdom.  You are the real benefactor!  Wait on the LORD and be of good courage!

You don’t have to cheat, scheme, manipulate, and lie to get ahead.  Doing so is a sure way for the king to get a head (remember the baker!)  GOD has the plan and knows when it’s promotion time.

Those who throw you in the PIT TODAY will have to make an appointment to meet you in the PALACE TOMORROW.  Payday is coming after awhile.
